Welcome to Yoga with Kim.
I am also honoured to have been given the spiritual name of Sarupa while studying in India. I am a registered and insured member of Yoga Alliance, possessing the certification that comes with the completion of 200 hours of accredited teacher training. I teach (occassionally, now) in Kanata and Stittsville. Proud to be a member of the World Conscious Yoga Family, I have studied under the tutelage of Yogi Vishvketu and Chetana Panwar at the Anand Prakash Ashram in Rishikesh, India.
I decided to continue my pursuit as a student and teacher of yoga and take a break from more than ten years in the corporate high-tech sector. So in 2007 I set off for Rishikesh, India to pursue my teacher certification in a place I consider the very wellspring of yoga. The step was one of many treasured ones I have taken so far on this journey.
Each day offers new lessons and I hope for the wisdom to recognize as many of these as I can along the way. I enjoy sharing and receiving with my students who come and go, as all of life’s circumstances do. Each one offers me some degree of insight and I treasure all of these individuals among my teachers. I look forward to sharing the beauty and benefits of yogic practise with you.
Thank you, Shanti,
Kim
